70 below offers an array of environments depending on the day of the week. Mondays we offer great specials and a mellow environment for those wanting to kick back after a busy day. Tuesdays we offer cheap glasses of draught and highballs. Wednesdays we have karaoke from 10pm - 2am. Thursdays are our "Southern Specials" with tequila, Bavaria & Corona. Fridays and Saturdays are truly the party days of the week. With great DJ's and cheap drink specials. The bar is packed with friendly faces, dancing, and supportive staff who are willing to cater to everyone’s needs. Sundays are a great way to finish off a busy week with great tunes, ceasers on special, and personable staff. You are sure to feel comfortable kicking back.

We also provide a community events board where everyone’s adds are welcome to be posted. You can find resourceful guides such as, VILIPS monthly newsletters, Xtra west, Outlooks and AVI posters and meetings. We also do our best to provide information on community dances, socials, and of course Nanaimo Pride.

Located in the heart of everything, right beside Nanaimo’s famous sea wall. You can find us located conveniently across from Harbor Links which travel to and from Vancouver. Just a couple blocks down you can find other excellent gay friendly establishments. Each with their own unique venue such as Roxy’s diner, Acme foods and Tania's Downtown.
